The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the results of the 2012 unified tertiary matriculation exam and only 3 candidates scored above 300. this was revealed by JAMB registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, at the news conference in Abuja. he also said the results of 27,266 candidates across eight states were withheld for various reasons.
The thing is there can be so many reasons for this, it can be the students fault, because maybe some of them didint prepare for the examination but the government also should be blamed, i think poverty is also one thing, because according to the story i read, they were all blaming the students for not reading but i also think that maybe there was no money to buy the required books and text books needed. the reason i blamed the government earlier is that they are even making this thing difficult for us. All this people in government are sending their children abroad for education and the children are enjoying themselves while they are making things difficult for the poor man's children. Most of their children didnt even gain admission in a "good", some of them had to bribe the teacher, invigilators and even threatning them while they are pretending to be doing a good job of catching those cheating. i'm not saying it's good to cheat, infact i'm against it but they shouldnt blame these people or shouldnt act as if they are holy. Some of this officials remove people's name to put their children's name. i think we are all corrupt, the people that are governing us are telling us not to do bad things or pass shortcut when that's what they are doing. I want your opinion about this, Why do you think people are not passing jamb?
The fact still remains that students are no more reading as b4. 60% of d blame still goes to d students. 20% apiece to d Government & parents. Facebook, 2go, ebuddy, twitter... and others have taken d heart of most students away from reading. And really, d internet could b used to improve dir knowledge. I don't think we should expect a better result. Here in PH, d rate of cheating was incredible, answers were flying about in d morning, dy av 2 pay gate fee to enter exam hall, pay another fee in d hall b4 writing d exam. D standard has really fallen and nobody is doing anything. But d fact is still dt students are no more reading.
